5th Graders visit
the Omaha Zoo

The South Hamilton fifth grade students studied the coral reef. They learned about its endangered habitat and researched various coral reef animals. The students created a multimedia presentation that demonstrated their knowledge of their animal. They decided to sell T-shirts to raise money to help save the endangered coral reefs. The T-shirts were provided by The Earth Foundation, an organization which protects endangered coral reefs and rain forests around the world.

The fifth graders sold enough T-shirts to save 45.5 square meters of coral reef and pay their admission to the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, Nebraska! These are some pictures of the fifth grade students enjoying their day at the zoo.
